Achebe's Things Fall Apart
[ send me this paper ]
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe is the story of the post-colonial conflict between Africa and Europe, as well as the conflict between the Western way of doing things and the tribal consciousness. It is the story of the psychological and social consequences of the transition from the tribal indigenous society to the Western mode brought about by the Imperialistic takeover. This 3 page paper argues that the British takeover forced changes that would have been resisted and delayed to the detriment of the society by way of the loss of their potential as represented by the next generation.
