Death in Ancient Greece

Death among the Ancient Greeks was treated as honourable as described by Homer and its prevalence in their society became a daily way of life. Men died in battle and from disease and whether or not the belief was for a good or evil life which followed, detailed rituals were adhered to in order to preserve the soul of the person in the afterlife until that person was reborn again.
